Apiezon 密封剂 Q 可用于未磨平接头的边缘密封，暂时密封设备部件及玻璃量筒或金属板，创造暂时真空密闭环境。

Apiezon 密封剂 Q 可密封接头、弥补漏洞或填补真空系统中的缝隙，功能很多，是理想的防泄漏密封胶，应用范围广，可用于多种行业。环境温度下，Apiezon 密封剂 Q 可用手轻松塑形，足够结实、不易变形。捏卷本品时，应注意保证手及表面清洁，保持产品低蒸汽压力特点。

本品蒸汽压力约为 9 x 10-5 托 (20°C)，可保证对真空要求不太低时的有效使用。本品软化点为 45°C，涂层点温度应保持在 -10°C 至 +30°C 之间。Apiezon 密封剂 Q 可粘到玻璃、金属、塑料等多种物质的表面，然而极易从涂抹处将其刮除。

清理也很方便，任何残留可用温肥皂水及所有芳香烃溶液（甲苯、二甲苯）洗去，还可使用蒸汽脱脂浴去除。由于Apiezon 密封剂 Q 不溶于酒精（乙醇、异丙醇）或酮类（丙酮、丁酮），因此不能使用该类物质进行清理。
