3、在低温下，大多数润滑脂会开始开裂。这些裂纹可能是微观的（龟裂）。如果您使用润滑脂作为传热剂，则裂纹会影响导热性。确保使用的润滑脂设计用于低温操作（如果需要）。

What do you need to think about when choosing the right vacuum grease?

- Make sure you have picked a grease that will work under your vacuum conditions.

- Greases can melt or thermally decompose if they get too hot. This will affect the seal if it becomes liquid or moves away from the site of application. If your application could get hot, ensure you are using a product such as Apiezon H grease or PFPE 501 which are designed for use at high temperatures.

- At low temperatures most greases will begin to crack. These cracks can be microscopic (crazing). If you are using the grease as a heat transfer agent then cracks will affect the thermal conductivity. Make sure the grease you use is designed for low temperature operation if required.
